Community Advisors

The UI IPRC Community Advisory Committee provides input into UI IPRC outreach activities, identifies potential areas and partnerships for the development and dissemination of policy briefs, and identifies opportunities for implementation of injury and violence programs and translation activities.

Members understand and appreciate the importance of injury prevention and they represent executive-level roles in Iowa and our region. They are also long-standing collaborators with the UI IPRC. Therefore, they are particularly helpful in determining how to approach challenging issues and in “opening doors” to key stakeholders. Also, the respect they receive from their peers strengthens our Center’s standing as an essential partner in injury and violence prevention.
