Our blog topics over the last four years reflect the diversity of the field of injury & violence prevention. Our field is more critical than ever: In the U.S., injuries and violence are the leading causes of death among people during the first four decades of life.
UI IPRC Director Corinne Peek-Asa said there has been amazing progress in the field, but there are forces working against safety and prevention including profit-seeking, pop culture, and the lack of will to invest.
“Our progress has been great, but we need to move faster and have broader reach to have the impact we need,” she said.
